About Aritco

Aritco is an award-winning manufacturer of platform lifts. We supply a wide range of lifts for homes, and public and commercial spaces. Meeting the highest requirements regarding accessibility, comfort, space efficiency, and design. Our lifts are built and designed with outstanding quality, safety, and reliability in mind with various options to suit both new and existing buildings perfectly. Since we started in 1995 more than 40,000 lifts have been installed in buildings worldwide, creating possibilities for millions of people.

In 1995 four entrepreneurs founded Aritco in a living room in Kungsängen outside Stockholm. All four had experience in the elevator business, and all agreed that there was a need for a new kind of product that was smarter to use and easier to install, easier to operate and significantly less expensive than the elevators that were on the market back then.

The four, all engineers, built their first elevator by hand. And the rest is what we say, history. After having passed through two factories in Kungsängen, Aritco is now based in a 16.000 sqm large factory and office in Veddesta outside Stockholm. Today we produce 4.000 elevators a year that are sold in 40 countries through more than 170 distributors.

Our journey started with a dream to open up possibilities for everyone. Opening up possibilities is one of the key reasons when we chose to support the water cleaning project Solvatten; to elevate life for many people around the world. Everything starts with clean water.

Almost one billion people in the world live without access to clean water and electricity. The majority of these live in rural areas and spend 4-5 hours a day collecting water and wood. Clean water in your home isn’t only a matter of health, it also leaves more time for school or work, and a way out of poverty.

Solvatten is a Swedish invention that purifies and heats water with the help of sunlight. Clean and safe water is a must. Hot water is also key for a more comfortable life and in this way heated in a sustainable way. To be purified and heated, the container is filled with unclean water and left in the sun for a couple of hours. The process cleans and prevents micro-organisms to grow, making the water safe from bacteria that cause diseases.
