Aritco HomeLift Illuminates and Complements Luxury Townhouse

A short distance from Knightsbridge and Sloane Square, a beautiful property needed a home lift to allow travel the four floors from the basement to the second floor. Key requirements included travel for convenience between floors and for light to flow freely through the property on each level.

The project architect had seen a similar installation which Aritco partner Gartec Home had completed where a roof light had been installed above the lift and felt that an Aritco HomeLift was the obvious choice. The client agreed and a home lift was installed that allows light to flood down the stairwell through to the basement via the lift thanks to its custom glazed panels on three sides, filling each floor with light and illumination.

With many years of experience, Gartec could provide the client with advice and recommendations at the beginning of the project on the design style, the sizes that would work within this project and the carrying capacity, accessibility, and futureproofing that these would bring.

After looking at all the options with Gartec Home, everyone agreed that the Aritco HomeLift offered the most benefits both in terms of aesthetics and function to the project, with minimal building or structural work.

The design throughout the home displays opulence and luxury, with grand chandeliers and feature lighting, heavy textured boucle roman blinds and metallic finishes used across doors and framework. The Aritco HomeLift was selected in white RAL 9016 with customized marble flooring inside to match the hallway on the ground floor. Glass walls on three sides match perfectly with a skylight above the elevator and open up the center of the house as a focal point, flooding the home with light.

With the SmartLight feature, the HomeLift can emphasize other aspects within the home. Controlled via the SmartLift app, the homeowners can change the color of the lift lighting to blue, matching the blue chandeliers at the entrance of the property.

Inside the lift a SmartControl is a unique feature of the Aritco HomeLift. Beautifully lit using LED lights, it is intuitive and user-friendly, and allows passengers to operate the lift by turning and pressing the SmartContol.

The lift allows homeowners to have a forever home and assists them with any disability requirements. It also adds flexibility and convenience, whether for frequent travel and luggage being transported from the top floors to the ground floor, or with children, pushchairs and toys or to make daily tasks easier.

Installed by two engineers in a smooth and hassle-free process, the Aritco HomeLift was in place after only four days. It includes one touch call station buttons, LED platform and shaft lighting, automatic fully glazed doors, the SmartLift App, auto dialer on platform (emergency telephone), an external alarm sounder and emergency battery lowering.

Located in the middle of the stairwell, the stairs were designed to accommodate the lift mast fixings at the rear of the lift. Two discrete rods connect the lift to the stairs at each landing and at the top of the lift.

The size of the lift is spacious enough to take up to two people and can carry up to 250kg. The white double doors have a central opening and are made of toughened and laminated glass with painted profiles and beautiful detailing that blend with the overall design scheme and will remain timeless.

All in all, the homeowners are quite pleased with their choice and look forward to make the most of their new Aritco HomeLift.
