Accelerated urbanism
The Covid pandemic has led to an acceleration of certain urban developments which are either positive or inevitable, while at the same time slowing progress we’ve made in other fields. Some urban changes will most likely stay with us because we were already moving in the same direction. What will the pandemic’s legacy entail in urban planning?

The power in purpose
As we emerge into a post-pandemic world, is our goal of a sustainable future still within reach? With our health, wellbeing and safety taking precedence, can it be aligned successfully with environmental goals as we endeavour to protect and preserve the planet we are privileged to call home? As brands, business owners and consumers, it’s time to take individual responsibility and commit to real action. How can we be a part of the change and, as businesses, communicate that effectively?

Rewakening of the cocooning?
Along with with the Covid-19 pandemic, we see several changes in behaviour. People adjust to the situation of working and living in the same space, which leads to a need of more space. A reawakening of cocooning, where house, garden and personal living space is important. Family is also becoming more important. Taking care of each other. Living in smaller groups, helping each other cross generations. What does this mean for our future? What new solutions are needed in our homes?

How is design and technology development influencing Aritco products and ways of thinking?
As a manufacturer of lifts for homes and commercial/public buildings, we need to take the evolution of design and technology into consideration when developing our next generation of lifts. We also follow trends when it comes to living – what people want their homes and public places to be like in the future. These are things that has been affected by the pandemic and will have impact on the construction of lifts in the near future.
