Sometimes great things come in small packages

With its new Aritco HomeLift Compact, Aritco now offers a complete range of products for the home lift market. We spoke to Product Manager Petra Lind to find out more details about this new lift. She described how her team had redesigned the original HomeLift with a smaller footprint, retaining the smart home technology and improving the customizable design features.

“Aritco is known for its innovative designs which are leading the development of home lifts. In response to requests from the market, we decided to create a smaller lift that was compatible with more homes, offering as many people as possible this transformative product.”

“This is our smallest, most compact home lift – it takes up less than a square meter of space but can still accommodate smaller wheelchair models. In terms of design, we’ve updated the back wall and the control panel. Customers have a number of options for the back wall – one of Aritco’s nine DesignWalls by prominent Scandinavian designers, a mirror, or their own choice of artwork. The control panel has been given a stylish make-over with an integrated, ergonomic handrail.”

“The name of the lift really says it all,” says Petra with a smile. “Both our partners and our customers have been requesting a smaller lift than those currently on the market which is still spacious enough to be practical. Our development team and our designer Alexander Lervik needed to think creatively to make the lift as space-efficient as possible. Just above floor level on the back wall of the lift we boxed out a small space where wheelchair users can slide their feet so a small wheelchair can fit comfortably inside. We also developed DesignPanels, acoustic grey felt panels made from recycled bottles that line the lift shaft behind the back wall to ensure a silent ride.

“We also made sure the Aritco HomeLift Compact includes the latest technology and works seamlessly with the Aritco SmartLift App which supports maintenance and security. It’s not just a very elegant and stylish lift—it’s been designed to be completely compatible with the smart home of the future,” concludes Petra.
