In the UK, Robert has installed outdoor lifts in various commercial settings. “We’ve installed outdoor lifts to serve upper levels of business park office blocks and to provide access from ground floor car parks to care home entrances,” he shares.
And in Spain and Portugal, Jesús has seen a growing demand in the residential sector as well. He notes that indoor space limitations aren’t always the main issue, outdoor lifts can also connect different levels of exterior areas. “We have clients who need a way to access their gym or pool located below their home,” he adds.
One such example was the installation of an Aritco outdoor home lift for an elderly man who could no longer easily descend the stairs to his downstairs gym. His wife wanted the lift to complement their home’s design, selecting a black exterior that matched their window finishes. “It seems the lift was always there,” says Jesus.
Uneven terrain is also a common challenge that can be solved using an outdoor lift. In Spain, Jesús’s team was approached by a woman with limited mobility who couldn’t make full use of her stunning, multilevel sea front property. “Her house is in the upper area, and her garden and pool are in the lower area. The stairs prevented her from fully enjoying her villa and the Malaga sunsets. Thanks to the Aritco outdoor home lift, she can now fully enjoy all the benefits of her home again. And the option to choose a shade of green for the exterior helps it blend in with the nature around it,” Jesús explains.
