Wheelchairs provide autonomy and increase accessibility for people with limited mobility. However, accessing multilevel spaces can be a challenge when stairs or steep ramps are the only available options. Lifts for wheelchairs in both homes and public and commercial spaces provide a sense of freedom, autonomy, and inclusion for people with restricted mobility.
Lifts for wheelchairs
Aritco platform lifts are perfect for wheelchair accessibility, with a small footprint, easy installation, and customizable design.
Wheelchair lifts that provide increased accessibility
How to install a wheelchair lift in your home?
Retrofitting a home lift for wheelchair access in a multistorey home can seem like more of a challenge. But it doesn’t have to be.
Aritco offers a range of platform lifts that can fit a variety of needs, home sizes and layouts. The compact design means they can be installed with only minimum modifications to the home. A small hole in the floors is all that’s needed as Aritco home lifts don’t require a deep pit, structural wall, or machine room. Furthermore, most installations don’t take more than a week from start to finish.
Customizable design
Our lifts are customizable and you can choose between a variety of materials, colors, and floorings and even add a DesignWall to your own preference. We also offer customization of functional features such as doors on up to three sides, double doors, automatic doors, and more to provide added comfort and ease of use for users in wheelchairs. Aritco’s interactive online LiftGuide allows you to explore all customization options to create a lift that is the perfect match for your home.
How safe are our wheelchair lifts?
Aritco platform lifts are an incredibly safe alternative. Our SmartSafety system includes child-lock, smart stop door, door locks and safety edges surrounding the platform. A backup battery protects users in the case of a power outage so you will always be able to travel to the nearest floor. With the help of the SmartLift App, users can always stay informed about the operational status of their lifts as well as make certain settings. The app puts control of the lift right in the users’ hands, adding another level of convenience.
A wheelchair lift to fit any home
We offer three different home lift models that are suitable for wheelchairs.
Aritco HomeLift Access: This lift was created especially with wheelchair access in mind. We offer seven models with sizes that fit a full-size wheelchair – type A or B – with dimensions ranging from 900 x 1280 mm to 1000 x 1980 mm. Many provide enough space for extra passengers as well. For added convenience, a half-height gate can replace the full-size door.
Aritco HomeLift Compact: This is one of the most space-efficient lifts on the market. The largest model (1080×805 mm) can fit a wheelchair or a small mobility scooter.
Aritco HomeLift: Stylish and practical, this is our most popular lift. The two larger models – S12 (1000×1200 mm) and S15 (1100×1400 mm) – fit a full-size wheelchair.
Wheelchair accessibility in public and commercial spaces
In addition to the range of home lifts, Aritco offers a line of public lifts that provide increased accessibility for wheelchairs to public and commercial spaces, creating a solution that is inclusive, stylish, and discrete.
